Campaign Reform

Why do I say that? Has to be. The President of the United States has one of the most difficult and stressful jobs around. No one doubts that. Why would you want a job that pays $300,000 a year and you go out looking much older than you came in. If you don’t believe that statement, take a look at recent presidents and how they looked going into office and then how they came out. Sure you could argue they are older and you would be right, but aging is also stress related and I apologize for digressing from my point.
It has to be about the money. During the last presidential election, about $1,000,000,000 was spent between the two candidates (third parties hardly stand a chance, but I will write about that later). That is 1 billion dollars. One Billion dollars. Don’t elect me president, give me the money. One billion dollars.
Divide that by two and the winner spent about 500 million dollars to get elected. To a $300,000 year job. Hmmmm, is it not about the money? Are you so naive to think that they really think they can help the United States, help you do better, help anything at all? NO NO NO. It is about the money, the power, and being king.
The king gets to make the rules and hire the people they want to and spend money like it is theirs, and get perks like they need it. What do we get? We get old stuffy men and women…who maybe once upon a time, thought that they could make a difference. Would make a difference. Change the way politics operated. Change Washington, change the world. The thing is, even the best brightest person, can not go against a government that is as entrenched as ours. Look at the average time in congress for our representatives. How many newly elected officials are there? How many newly elected senators are there? We need an over haul. Senate term limits, Representative term limits, and that way maybe just maybe we could get some fresh thought in our political veins.
More later.
Recently it was announced that Barrack Obama was going to contribute about $4500 to Hillary Clinton to help her pay off her debt that she incurred while campaigning for the nomination of the Democratic Party.
Is this legal?
